I propose that you, the business leaders, and we, the United Nations, initiate a global compact of shared values and principles, which will give a human face to the global market.

TIMA led KARL STORZ Gmbh into the UN Global Compact and designed and co-ordinated the first KARL STORZ UN Global Compact project. The project was a PPP of by KARL STORZ/GTZ and United Nations University. The multi-shareholder and multi-stakeholder co-ordination was done by TIMA GmbH.

An article on the first half of this project, entitled:"Women's Health Initiative for Improving Women's maternal and reproductive Health in India: A PPP within the Framework of the Global Compact" was published in the UN Global Compact Quarterly 2006.

A book on the overall project is in the process of publication.

In January 2008, the UN Global Compact office published the signatory list of "Caring for Climate" Business Leaders. The document also entails information on the background and future direction of this additional voluntary initiative by UN GC participant companies. TIMA is among the first of its supporters and signatories.
