TIMA beim ersten UN Forum on Business and Human Rights in Genf

Meldungen Aktuelles Strategie Human Rights Economy

Vom 4.-5. Dezember 2012 repräsentierte Dr. Martina Timmermann die TIMA und ausgewählte Klienten auf dem ersten UN Forum on Business and Human Rights in Genf. 1000 Teilnehmer aus mehr als 80 Ländern waren vertreten und machten diese Konferenz zu der bisher größten  Veranstaltung zum Thema: Business und Menschenrechte.

Das Forum konzentrierte sich auf die Trends und Herausforderungen, die die Umsetzung der von John Ruggie (Co-Chair der Konferenz und früherer „Special-Representative of the Secretary-General on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises“) erarbeiteten „Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights“.

Am 6. Dezember nahm Dr. Timmermann zudem teil an derSitzung der Human Rights Working Group des UN Global Compact.

Die Bedeutung der Thematik Menschenrechte für Klein- und Mittelständische Unternehmen (KMU) jeder Größenordnung wird auf europäischer und globaler Ebene immer stärker erkannt:
