This year’s conference accompanying the BCCG Annual Meeting (AM) inevitably focused on the current debate on trade and business relations and the perspectives between UK and the EU.
The venue, the Anglo-German Club in Hamburg, provided the perfect frame for such event.
The keynote was given by Dr Laurenz Czempiel, Member of the Board, Donner und Reuschel AG, Hamburg, followed by comments of Lord Aldington, Investor (former Chairman Deutsche Bank London), London; Peter Littger, Chairman, King Edward VII Foundation, Hamburg; and David Marsh, Chairman of OMFIF, London.
The debate was intense and even pursued during the pittoresque boat tour on the Alster (so the captain finally gave up commenting on the scenery…)
The final highlight was a splendid dinner and follow up on the terrace all within the most charming ambience of the Club. A memorable event.
